ANDORRA 0-6 CROATIA [ENG]

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-09-12 - 20:50:30

Andorra played Croatia in their home territory on the 12th of September 2,007. It was a game that left Roberto with the feeling of being kicked in the stomach.

Roberto supported Andorra knowing that the possibilities of winning were impossible. But losing to Croatia 6 to 0 was a slow motion in agony. Roberto’s Stomach and Legs were in Pain. His heart was torn in a million pieces.

Afterwards, objectivity set in. Andorra loses because they suffer from a defeatist attitude. It is pure coincidence that they participate in International Football Matches and lose. It has happened before. Before even thinking about a game plan, the defeatist attitude will have to go from their national football spirit. After removing this block, they can even repeat Croatia’s Surprise Victory over Germany in 1998.

Croatia has proved itself to be World Cup Material ever since it started defeating Germany. They are methodic, organized, and consistent in their game plans and methods of play. Congratulations to Croatia

ANDORRA 0-6 CROACIA [ESP]

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-09-12 - 20:49:53

Andorra 0-6 Croacia

Andorra: 0/10
Croacia: 10/10

Ian Porterfield 1946-2007

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-09-12 - 13:26:07

It has come to the attention of Roberto the death of Ian Porterfield after a battle with cancer.

His family lost someone dear to them; the football world has lost a legend. It suffices to talk about his life and achievements.

Ian Porterfield was born in Dunfermline, Scotland on February 11, 1946 and started his career has a football player with the Raith Rovers. He continued to play for other teams such as Reading, Sunderland, and Sheffield Wednesday from the late 1960’s to the late 1970’s. During this period, he scored 37 goals within 457 games.

After 1979, he started managing clubs such as Rottherham United, Sheffield United, Aberdeen, Reading, Chelsea, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Oman, Trinidad & Tobago, Busan Park [South Korea], and Armenia. Armenia was his last stop in a long and distinguished career as a manager before leaving us. It was in Armenia where he managed a great draw of 1-1 against Portugal on the 22nd of August 2007.

His year in Zambia from 1993-1994 was one of his trying moments in which he managed to build moral in a country that lost its team to a plane crash. He was awarded the Freedom of Zambia award. Personalities from the nation of Zambia such as Emmanuel Munaile [former player and now an MP in Zambia], Teddy Mulonga [President of the Zambian Football Association], and Dennis Liwewe [Zambia’s Veteran Sports Commentator] have united with their country and the world in mourning this legend of legend in football.

We will miss you.
