Gillespie VS Mc Cartney

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-09-13 - 19:28:52

What has happened in Northern Ireland Football is a disgrace.

Northern Ireland lost to Latvia and Iceland within one week. Gillespie actually helped Iceland win with an own goal. How could someone do an own goal?

The return trip to London from Iceland was marked by a brawl between Gillespie and Mc Cartney. The Rest of the team had to intervene before the altercation worsened. Last but not least, the Airplane Employees reported the incident to the Manager of the Irish Football Association.

The altercation has done nothing to help Northern Ireland nor will it erase the loss to Latvia and Iceland. It has destroyed the reputation of the Northern Ireland Football Team and something must be done. Gillespie and Mc Cartney must accept responsibility for their actions and be punished for spoiling football.

While the nature of the punishment should be left to the Irish Football Association, I would have given a six month suspension from the Northern Ireland Team with a permanent expulsion from the remaining Euro 2008 Games in which Northern Ireland.

Phillies for President 2008

George Phillies for President 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Thursday, September 13, 2007
George Phillies to Address Boston Freedom Rally
The 18th annual Boston Freedom Rally, the largest and oldest Massachusetts rally for the re-legalization of marijuana, takes place Saturday, September 15, from noon to 6 pm on the Boston Common. At least 50,000 people are expected to attend.

Leading Libertarian Presidential candidate George Phillies is scheduled to speak at 2pm. Phillies is a well known Libertarian activist and an outspoken opponent of prohibition for marijuana.

“The government’s role is to arbitrate between the rights of individuals, to say where my rights end and my neighbor’s begin,” says George Phillies. “To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson, for my neighbor to smoke marijuana or gamble neither breaks my leg nor takes money from my purse. For those instances where he does overstep the rights of others, for example if he drives while intoxicated or steals money to gamble, we have other laws in place.”

Legalization of “victimless” activities like smoking marijuana or gambling has long been considered an important issue amongst Libertarians, who promote freedom and personal responsibility. “Drug prohibition is a total failure that wastes tens of billions of dollars, gives criminal records to millions of Americans, and can't even keep drugs out of our prisons,” The candidate added. “It's time to treat marijuana the way we treat alcohol.”

LPMass, the Libertarian Party of Massachusetts, will have a tent in zone A, at the eastern end of the display line, with literature not only on the legalization issue but on other issues of concern in the coming Presidential election.

9/11 and the dying oif America

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-09-13 - 02:50:53

We as a Nation have not been safe nor lucky after the disaster of 9/11. The 11th of September 2001 will be remembered as the day when the USA lost what little of its freedom it had to the bureaucratic monster called Republicans and Democrats. It has not helped that the Republicans and Democrats have criticized those who opposed them as terrorists which in itself lead to a climate of insecurity and polarization.

9/11 has made many US Citizens who have the economic means to do so, leave the country and renounce their US Citizenship. Since 2001, the increase in renunciation of US Citizenship has been 71% compared to 29% who are become US Citizens. Many who have renounced their US Citizenship have done so out of the increasing instability and polarization generated by the Governing Elite in America.

The USA is slowly dying and it is consumed by 9/11. The Hollywood Culture of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Horror, Obsession with Terror, and Violence has consumed its culture. The only thing that can save America is a return to a belief in God or any Superior Deity and a rejection of the culture of death. There should also be a political opening for other political parties such as the Independents, Libertarians, and Greens.

Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither liberty nor security". Benjamin Franklin would be right if he were to see America as it is today, not secure and not free.

Monarchy in USA

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-09-13 - 02:50:17

Over 230 years ago, the USA was born out of a desire to throw out nepotism, monarchism, dynasties, and everything similar. In an era of republics, it appears that the USA has not escaped from its royal tendencies. There exists an oppressive class called the Republicans and Democrats. This oppressive class is White Anglo-Saxon in blood. The oppressed class is everyone else.

Republicans and Democrats have their dynasties like the Bush Dynasty, the Kennedy Dynasty, and the Clinton Dynasty at the National Level and Smaller Dynasties at State Levels. This brings to mind how certain members of Congress have used their influence to help family members get elected or at least receive a sizable vote.

The country and society in which it is based is eventually hurt. In the USA, a politician's son, cousin, daughter wants to become an elected official. He or she goes to the family member with the most influence to receive help in his or her campaign. This family member loses since he or she were unable to campaign and/or win on their own. The opponent loses since the opponent is running against a person whose family is known. This has happened many times especially when Libertarians, Greens, and Independents have had to run against known Republicans and Democrats.

The voters and the process suffers since such an attitude on the part of the Member of Congress in America since the voter will perceive the process as corrupt and not vote. The process itself suffers since a contradiction has been created. What was the contradiction? The USA still has the trappings of monarchy and dynasties even though it is over 230 years ago that such factors disappeared from the body politic of the republic.

At the rate that Members of Congress have used their influence, there is at least one percent of the population who is thinking that having a real monarchy [with true dynasties, kings, queens] would be preferable to shady politicians beholden to special interests and family members.
