Iranian Football/Futbol en Iran

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-12-20 - 18:40:05

It appears that the Elections for a new Head of the Iranian Football Federation will be on the 10th of January 2008. These were the arrangements between FIFA and the Iranian Football Federation after FIFA nullified the December 2007 Elections on account of politics meddling in football.

It should be remembered that FIFA believes in the separation of football from politics and that countries have been punished under such regulations. It is hoped that FIFA and the Iranian Football Association are able to organize the 10th of January Elections with results acceptable to both sides.

Phillies and the Libertarians Are The Real Thing [EN] [ES]

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-12-20 - 18:39:24

According to Press TV; Ron Paul has announced that if elected President, he will lift sanctions against Iran and declared that the invasion of Iraq “was the most blatant violation of the Constitution”. Ron Paul further stated that Bush And Company was bent on building an empire in the Middle East.

There were more comments by Ron Paul on how Bush “betrayed the people’s trust” and how he may remain a candidate until the 15th of February 2008.

While it is necessary to address the problems started by a dysfunctional and corrupt Republican/Democratic System, the only thing the candidates of both parties have offered is the electoral equivalent of Reality TV. Even the Writer’s Guild of America is fed up with Reality TV.

What America needs is George Phillies and the Libertarian Party with their concept of common sense, freedom, responsibility, dignity, and peace. The lifting of sanctions against Iran is a step in the right direction but there will have to be a total cleansing of the body politic. A Vote for Phillies and the Libertarian Party will be the beginning of such a cleansing.

HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II CHRISTMAS MESSAGE- GREGORIAN CALENDAR 2007

HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II CHRISTMAS MESSAGE- GREGORIAN CALENDAR 2007

At the time of the great holy day, the birth of Jesus Christ, the day of joy for all Christians, I am addressing the citizens of Serbia and everyone who celebrates this Day by the Gregorian calendar, and warmly extend my greetings and best wishes to them, to spend the Christmas in peace and love, surrounded by good will.
Christmas is one of the most important times of the year. It is a time to reflect on the past, and to look to the future with confidence. A time of celebration and of compassion, too.

Christmas is also the time for communities to come together, to give and to share and to be at peace, the time to build respect for each other that helps us all be stronger.

We must strive to be moved by a generosity of spirit that will enable us to overcome the conflicts of the past. We must anchor all our efforts in the common determination to build a Serbian society that will be a peaceful and prosperous one. Let us commit ourselves to work together for peace, for the continued transformation of Serbia into a great democracy.

My hope for 2008 is that goodwill and respect that we all enjoy at Christmas will last.
My family and I wish everyone a very happy New Year and success in every deed dedicated to common good and progress, to personal and joint happiness and human fulfillment.

Peace on Earth, good will for all!
Christ is born!
Alexander

Parcell and the Miami Dolphins

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-12-20 - 15:12:41

Univision 23 News [the US Latin Station] announced that Parcell will probably be named Coach of the Miami Dolphins. Wayne Huizenga who talked about the sale of the Miami Dolphins abruptly called off the sale of the club in response to the news.

Bill Parcell has had previous experiences in other NFL Clubs such as the New England Patriots, the New York Jets, and the Dallas Cowboys. He has been able to reverse the fortunes of the above mentioned clubs. In the case of the New England Patriots, he took a team that won and made miracles and an art of winning.

It is also interesting to note that Bill Parcells was coach of the Dallas Cowboys after Jimmy Johnson and the possibility that this may repeat in Miami Florida is great.

Bill Parcells has his work cut out for him after the damage done by the previous coaches called Johnson, Wanstedt, Saban, and Cameron [finally I remember Cameron]. I have faith that maybe this is the rebirth of the Miami Dolphins. The rest depends on the players, and the owners.

Chelsea Defeats Liverpool

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-12-20 - 02:46:04

It was a pleasure to enjoy the good news of Chelsea in the Carling Cup Semifinals. Chelsea had an opponent that was formidable such as Liverpool. Liverpool was unable to score and fell to Chelsea in the second half after the goals of Lampard and Shevchenko. I had to celebrate with cups of cold coffee and milk as well as wearing my Chelsea T Shirt and Cap.

As for those who want to punish without justification Chelsea and Ashley Cole, Peter Crouch had no right to tackle Mikel John Obi. In fact, I applaud the referees’ decision to expel Crouch from the game. This expulsion affected Liverpool but there was no reason to use physical force.

At the end, Chelsea was finishing off Liverpool and not even the substitutions [on both sides] could resolve the outcome. Chelsea deserves praise and congratulations. This was the best Christmas Present that any Chelsea Supporter could receive [at least this supporter in Florida].

Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool

Chelsea: 8/10
Liverpool: 2/10

Phillies and the Libertarians

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2007-12-20 - 02:23:07

The Earth is reaching a stage of its existence in which the decisions of politicians, businessmen, and others can decide whether the Earth will remain as it is or will it become like its sister planet Venus. It is easy to say that what happened in Venus cannot happen in the Earth. Yet we must take into account that Venus has a greenhouse effect with temperature up to 464 Degrees Celsius. There is also Sulphuric Acid in the Atmosphere. Many Experts in Climate Change have said that untoward CO2 Emissions might have damaged Venus and say the same thing may happen in Earth.

We must adapt but take responsibility for the damage that has been done to the Earth. The Republicans and Democrats in Washington and their Cold War Allies in Moscow with their missile tests and wars have increased the heat and the Greenhouse Effect. North Korea has tested its nuclear bombs which further destroyed the atmosphere. Castro's Cuba and other vestiges of the Cold War such as Chavez Venezuela, and Nicaragua under the Sandinista have done more damage.

The Kyoto Protocol is not going to resolve the issue since it does not take into account that the World has been changing and revolving. The Kyoto Protocol also wants to tax cattle that practice the art of flatulence, belching, and defecation. Eventually the human race would have to pay a tax for it as well.

What is needed is personal responsibility on all spheres with more planting of trees, use of alternative fuels such as alcohol, solar, or nuclear power [which can be used for peaceful purposes. But the time to act is now not when the Earth has converted to another Venus since there is one Earth and it is the only planet that can support human life. Within the personal responsibility is to replace the Republicans, Democrats, and Communists with Libertarians such as George Phillies who would enforce existing laws regarding the environment.
