Los EEUU Debe Cambiar Su Sistema Electoral

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 17:01:20

Britney Spears

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 17:00:47

I have sympathy for the children of Britney Spears and for the future child of Jamie Lynn Spears. It is a pity that the children of Britney Spears has a mother who is always self indulgent, vain, arrogant, and not willing to take responsibility for her actions. Britney Spears is the symbol of what has been happening in American Society.

The USA throws away all morality, belief in God, or a Superior Deity, and imposes an artificial empire via Hollywood which is based on immorality, racism, discrimination, and the "Me" Generation. I often wander if Hollywood and too much fame damaged her or was the damage done at home? Since the topic is Britney Spears, I will save the future of US Society subject for another day, another time.

Britney Spears suffered a nervous breakdown and has sacrificed her children and herself. For a Judge to remove custody of the children from her took an act of courage [taking into account that the majority of cases are decided in favour of the woman]. Britney Spears must find help from a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, and maybe read the latest book by Joel Osteen.
Maybe the Judge could order Britney Spears to undergo such evaluations although I do not think she would pay attention to the judge.

Her judgment has become clouded to the point that her latest boyfriend and then ex boyfriend was a paparazzi who sold her photos behind her back. Even then, she stated that she was willing to convert to Islam to be with this boyfriend. Does Britney Spears understand the concept of converting to Islam? Once a person converts to Islam, it is difficult to renounce it unless the person wants to be a recipient of a fatwa [a death decree].

I do not want to predict the future of Britney Spears except to say that it would not be a surprise if the people wake up and hear in the Morning News or read the Newspaper or Internet that Britney Spears died. I would not be surprised given that Britney Spears has a self destructive personality and the attitude of "I am going to die and I will take as many people with me if there is a possibility".

It is these reasons that Britney Spears represents a danger to her children, to herself, and to others around her.

Down With the Cold War Vestiges

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 17:00:07

Mr. Chavez like his mentors and masters Castro, Bush, and the rest of the people in Washington live in the era of the Cold War. The reality is that the Cold War is over and except for some places that are Communists, Communism [like the Republicans and Democrats] are discredited in favour of a more independent, pragmatic, and Libertarian approach to the problems of the world.

Mr. Chavez received a "No" on his so called reforms which were going to consolidate a Communist Military Dictatorship in Venezuela in the same vein that Mr. Castro consolidated his power in Cuba and Mr. Bush consolidated his dictatorship in America.

For those who think that Mr. Bush and Mr. Chavez are different, it must be remembered that Mr. Bush was the one who restored Mr. Chavez in 2002 [after the spontaneous uprising which was called a Coup]. Mr. Bush restored Mr. Chavez in 2002 so he could get to the business of imposing his dictatorship in America and invade Iraq.

In fact, Mr. Cheney's company Halliburton has offices in Caracas Venezuela. For those who think this is a fantasy, I can only say that I received my sources from various newspapers and people I know in Venezuela, Cuba, and the USA who talked under conditions of anonymity.

For those in Latin America who think of Robin Hood fighting US Imperialism, my advice is to stop and smell the coffee. For those who talk about conspiracy theories, wake up and smell the manure.

Venezuela [I lived there in the 1970's] had a Socialized Economy long before the arrival of Chavez and Company. There were businesses that were part owned by the Government and another half part owned by companies that were of the government. This was in the era of Carlos Andres Perez and Luis Herrera Campins. If I could not have lived in Miami Florida, and if Venezuela would not have elected Chavez; I probably would have lived in Venezuela. It was Heaven on Earth.

Venezuela had diplomatic relations with Cuba, North Korea, Iraq, Libya, Iran, Iraq, and Vietnam long before Chavez and Company came. There were Executives of Companies like Firestone, Goodyear, and Ford that would go to the receptions given by the Cuban Embassy. Since Jesus Christ said: "He Who Is without Sin, Please Cast the First Stone", I wrote to Iraq and Vietnam since I was a Shortwave Radio Listener and I would listen to the two countries and send reception reports. I tried sending reception reports to Iraq and Vietnam in the USA in the early 1980's and I almost went to jail.

Chavez, Castro, Russia, and the USA invented the Cold War [Chavez arrived late for the feast] for one reason for each person. Castro wanted power and he used Communism to get power and maintain it for almost 50 years. Chavez tried and still there is a hung jury. Russia wanted a beachhead in the American Continent. The Republicans and Democrats wanted cheap professional labour because they were going to give rights to African Americans.

The theory would be to destabilize a country, create chaos, those who support the chaos will continue, others will leave, and the USA will accept. There is a problem with that theory which has been used by certain people in Cuba and Latin America, the USA does not want any more Latin Americans and they want to expel those that were born here.

The Vestiges of the Cold War called Communism, Republicans, and Democrats have created enough chaos and havoc. The time has come to flush them down the toilet. I myself do not know when Castro or Chavez will fall but I hope when they do, that the Republicans and Democrats fall with them and that we could have peace without war, love without hatred, and forgiveness without revenge.

Paris Hilton

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 16:58:45

Paris Hilton is the overrated person in the world just like most of the celebrities in the Western World. In the absence of kings, or other leaders; we celebrate Hollywood without taking into account that the artists of today are tacky, trashy, overrated, and have done nothing to improve the situation of those in America and the world.
Instead of celebrating a person who became famous for just being a parasite, let us celebrate those who have made our lives worthwhile such as Physicians, Nurses, Lawyers, Social Workers, Administrative Officers, Butchers, Bakers, Pharmacists, and people who are artists with true talent such as those seen and heard in Radio Free Texas or Nil Lara.
Instead of celebrating Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Naomi Campbell, and other overrated stars; let us celebrate those who pick up the trash for us. Whether we are in agreement with the war in Iraq or not, we should honour our soldiers who at least are doing something for their country so that Paris Hilton could make us look ridiculous.
What about the Police, Paramedics, and Ambulance Drivers who are there for us? We should honour them. What about our Border Patrol in America? These people often die in the line of duty and we dishonour them by ignoring them. These are the people who keep our borders safe.
We should honour the writers at Helium and other places who take the time to share their expertise and experiences instead of overrated personalities like Paris Hilton. What about the writers of the Writers Guild of America who are or were on strike to get their work recognized. After all, the lines said by Paris Hilton, Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, American Idol Stars Paula Abdul, Lindsey Lohan, or even Jessica Simpson were written by the writers who belong to the Writers Guild of America and they get neither the glory nor the pay.
People like Paris Hilton, Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie and company deserve a place in American Society, the trash can or turning off the TV. If these people want to do something productive, they can do the work of "Real People" or the work of Undocumented Workers [Illegal Aliens].

PARIS HILTON IN A COMIC VEIN

Imagine Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, and Nicole Richie saving the world in a comic vein. My daughter once loved the Power-puff Girls so I decided to give to mix the Three Artificial Girls and the Power-puff Girls. I have decided to call my article: "The Hollywood Hemorrhoids" and add a group of supporting casts such as Naomi Campbell, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears.

The characters are Paris Hilton with her super powers able to leap tall buildings in a single shot while painting herself with lipsticks, and perfume. Lindsey Lohan has her superpowers after she takes her sniff of cocaine with alcohol. Nicole Richie has her superpowers after she takes many drinks and then makes love to many men.

One day, The Hollywood Hemorrhoids confronted the Hollywood Meanies of Naomi Campbell, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, and Jamie Lynn Spears but the Hollywood Meanies were no match for the Hollywood Hemorrhoids. Naomi Campbell [inspired by her assault on a domestic worker and with powers given to her by Chavez of Venezuela, and Bush] threw a toilet in the direction of Lindsey Lohan.

Lindsey Lohan responded by sniffing a heavy dose of cocaine and sneezing at the direction of Naomi Campbell. Naomi Campbell fell to the floor with her toilet and lost all of her powers.

Jessica Simpson [inspired by her destruction of the American Classic "The Dukes of Hazard" and the chances of the Dallas Cowboys to make it to the Super Bowl] tried to do kick boxing. Nicole Richie [under the influence of alcohol] emitted a belching sound and Jessica Simpson fainted from the stench and sound.

Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears were unable to do anything since they were in another planet mentally. Paris Hilton [inspired by her cosmetics] emitted a flatulent sound that violated the Kyoto Protocols and sent the Spears Sisters to Venus.

After the Hollywood Hemorrhoids saved the world, the world could care less. In fact, Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, and Nicole Richie were sent to the nearest trash can where they belong by a world that is looking for sanity.

It must be remembered that I wrote this in a comic vein as a way of telling Hollywood that they are out of touch with reality.

FOR AMERICANS: A MANUAL ON HOW TO VOTE [BY A US CITIZEN BY BIRTH]

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 03:33:28

It is easy to say "I will not be apathetic and go to vote like a good citizen". The reality is that the Republicans, Democrats, and their Media Machine pounds and promotes candidates and the people just sit on their chairs and believe everything. They even believe that an alternative party is a wasted vote when actually the candidates of today are behaving like little kids who tell their "mommy" and "daddy" about the "big bad bully".

My fellow Americans, the way to give up apathy, become a good citizen, and vote is to inform yourselves of the issues and the alternative parties that exist such as the Greens and Libertarians. The Greens and Libertarians have been accused of being everything bad even though the Libertarians and Greens have done more on the local level than any Republican and Democrat [who are Anti-American] would have ever done.

After informing yourself of the alternatives, confront the Republicans and Democrats with hard and reflective questions about what they want, who they are, how are they going to deal with the issues of the day. Ask very tough questions like the ones that will make them squirm.

Challenge yourself to ask the media to include alternative candidates or organize a boycott of everything that they represent. After all, if the Writer's Guild of America could force the mainstream media to their knees, imagine the power of people.

Another way to prove that you are a good citizen is to write to your congressman and tell them that you support the impeachment of Bush and Cheney before the 2008 Elections. Enough Damage has been done to the country by the Republicans and The Democrats. It is time for a change a change that only the Libertarians or Greens suggest.

For those who are voting Libertarian, I want you to vote for George Phillies since he is a man of honour and integrity in a country that has neither. At the present rate with the same people running the country, the USA will be heading to a Civil War or its Dissolution. I do not want to imagine what will happen to the person who is apathetic when he or she finds out that there is no USA, maybe they will not know the difference or start complaining about the lack of necessities. With our apathy, we have only ourselves to blame.

My Advice: GET OFF YOUR BUTT, BE A GOOD CITIZEN, KNOW THE ISSUES, VOTE FOR AMERICA, VOTE LIBERTARIAN FOR GEORGE PHILLIES.

PRESS TV: “Bush Lied His Way Into Iraq War”

PRESS TV: “Bush Lied His Way Into Iraq War”

A recent study reveals that the Bush administration issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq.

Statements made by Bush two years after the 2001 terrorist attacks “were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses,” Military Times quoted two nonprofit journalism organizations as saying.

The organizations combed through public statements and more than 25 government reports, books, articles, speeches and came up with 935 false statements in a two-year period.

It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews and other venues, the White House had vocally advocated on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaeda or both.

“It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to al-Qaeda,” the report adds.

“In short, the Bush administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003,” the study concluded.

PRESS TV: “WH rejects charges on Iraq war lies”

The White House has denounced a study charging that Bush administration paved the way for war in Iraq with a campaign of false claims.

The study has found that US president Bush and his top officials told hundreds of lies about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the September 11 attacks.

"I hardly think that the study is worth spending time on," spokeswoman Dana Perino said of the Center for Public Integrity's assessment that Bush and top aides made 935 false charges ahead of the March 2003 invasion.

The spokeswoman claimed that the study ignored statements by US lawmakers or "people around the world" reflecting what she described as a consensus that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).

Named in the study along with Bush were top officials of the administration during the period studied.

PRESS TV: Study: Work-related stress can kill

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 03:31:09

PRESS TV: Study: Work-related stress can kill

A new study shows stressful jobs can really kill people, with raising the risk of heart diseases and disrupting the body's internal systems.

The study involving more than 10,000 British civil servants also suggest stress-induced biological changes may play a more direct role than previously thought, said Tarani Chandola, an epidemiologist at University College London.

"This is the first large-scale population study looking at the effects of stress measured from everyday working life on heart disease," said Chandola, who led the study. "One of the problems is people have been skeptical whether work stress really affects a person biologically," Reuters reported.

The researchers measured stress among the civil servants by asking questions about their job demands such as how much control they had at work, how often they took breaks, and how pressed for time they were during the day.

The team conducted seven surveys over a 12-year period and found chronically stressed workers - people determined to be under severe pressure in the first two of the surveys - had a 68 percent higher risk of developing heart disease.

Behavior and biological changes likely explain why stress at work causes heart disease, Chandola said. For one, stressed workers eat unhealthy food, smoke, drink and skip exercise - all behaviors linked to heart disease.

Heart disease is the world's leading cause of death. It is caused by fatty deposits that harden and block arteries, high blood pressure which damages blood vessels, and other factors.

Iran Without a Coach?/Iran Sin Tecnico?

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 00:49:57

IS IRAN WITH OR WITHOUT A COACH?

According to Press TV, sources from the Iranian Football Association have indicated that there is a need for a German Coach including former coach of the Hungarian National Team Lothar Matthaeus.

While Lothar Matthaeus has stated that he is willing to discuss any job offers from the Iranian National Football Association, he has not received any information from their representatives.

I was under the impression that Iran had chosen Artur Jorge from Portugal to be their coach. There was also the story about how former Sunderland, Manchester City and Leeds United boss Peter Reid turned down the offer to be coach of the Iranian National Team without no apparent reason.

Winfried Schafer [who was Cameroon’s Coach] was also considered a candidate and nothing came of the proposal. If Iran wants to advance to the 2010 World Cup, it must find a coach for its national team and the sooner the better. This game of musical chairs in which who could be the next coach does not help any team.

I am sure that Iran is willing to resolve this inconvenient situation in order to move forward.

Press TV: Half of Congress Support Cheney Impeachment

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 00:49:13

Cheney inching toward impeachment
Thu, 24 Jan 2008 00:24:03

Nine out of 23 Democrat members of the House Judiciary Committee favor starting impeachment hearings against US Vice President Dick Cheney.

Six of the nine are co-sponsors of HR 799, which contains three articles of impeachment.

Articles I and II of HR 799 accuse Cheney of manipulating intelligence to deceive Congress and the American people about a fabricated threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and an alleged relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda.

Article III charges Cheney with openly threatening Iran absent any real threat to the United States. All three articles say Cheney's actions have damaged the US national security interests.

The advocates of Cheney's impeachment believe "the issues at hand are too serious to ignore, including credible allegations of abuse of power that, if proven, may well constitute high crimes and misdemeanors under the Constitution.

"The allegations against Cheney relate to his deceptive actions leading up to the Iraq war, the revelation of the identity of a covert agent for political retaliation and the illegal wiretapping of American citizens," say the House Judiciary Committee members.

Seventy percent of American voters think Cheney has abused his powers and 43 percent say he should be removed from office, according to a Nov. 13 poll by the American Research Group.

Phillies on Abortion

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-01-24 - 00:48:14

George Phillies for President 2008

January 22, 2008
Phillies: On Maintaining Personal Privacy
Today is the 35th Anniversary of the Supreme Court's finding in Roe v Wade. By a seven-to-two majority, the Supreme Court found that Texas laws regarding abortion were unconstitutional. The Court noted a
variety of valid grounds for their decision: "This right of privacy, whether it be founded in the Fourteenth Amendment's concept of personal liberty and restrictions upon state action, as we feel it is, or, as the
District Court determined, in the Ninth Amendment's reservation of rights to the people, is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy."
Americans properly celebrate this removal of government intervention from their private lives. "While the decision is actually weaker than many hope or fear," Phillies wrote, "it protects the consciences of all Americans. A government that claims the right to control abortions has claimed the right to mandate abortions, for example in cases where an infant would be profoundly malformed and end up as a ward of the state. Only the Libertarian position *government should have no role in this matter* guarantees that every American can act as their conscience dictates."
Phillies condemned reactionary Republican proposals that the abortion question was or should be made a matter of so-called 'states' rights'. "As the law now stands, the abortion question is a right reserved to the people. 'The people' is of course the people as individuals, the same people whose freedoms to assemble peaceably and to own firearms are protected by the First and Second Amendments. When you hear a Republican calling for making abortion a state issue, you are hearing a Republican call to expand government, because at this time states are forbidden to ban abortions."
Phillies castigated allegedly 'libertarian' Republicans who voted that servicewomen overseas may not have abortions in military hospitals, even if they pay with their own money. "The 'exception' in the law protects a woman's life, but not her health. A servicewoman who would end up crippled or sterile without an abortion is told by Congress that this should be her fate. Usually 'no medical care except from government' is the position of socialist extremists who want to destroy private medical care. Here is the socialist extremist position, advocated by the Republicans."
"Once again, Government intervention in your private life can make things worse for you. Possibly much worse." Phillies concluded.
