Press TV Journalist Yvonne Ridley dedicated a segment in "The Agenda" to Zimbabwe and Mugabe. Among the people interviewed were A Representative for MDC [Movement for Democratic Change] from Great Britain and Ireland; Mr. Julius Sal Mutyambiza-Dewa, Stephan Chen who is Professor of the School of Oriental and African Studies, and Wilf Mbanga; Editor of The Zimbabwean.

Ms. Ridley stated in "The Agenda" that an official from the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe refused an invitation to appear in the programme to explain the position of Mugabe.

The subject was whether Mugabe was a liberator or a tyrant. The response from Dr. Chen was both. The Independent Journalist and the MDC Representative for the UK and Ireland stated that Mugabe was a tyrant.

There were comments about how Mugabe has created conditions for either a violent revolution or civil war. The three interviewees agreed that South Africa has the leverage to force change but does not want to since South African President Mbeki supports Mugabe.

The interviewees also agreed that Mugabe is using the nationalist card for his own ends and that there is a general dismay at the situation in Zimbabwe. Press TV also interviewed a group of demonstrators in the Zimbabwean Embassy in London.

Ms. Ridley added that investors are lining up into Zimbabwe, the response of Mr. Mbanga was that opportunists can make money even in unstable times. Mr. Mbanga struck a chord since we have the same situation in the American Continent in terms of opportunists and speculators.

Ms. Ridley also asked the question of what would happen if MDC was accused of "sell out". The response of Mr. Sal Mutyambuza-Dewa was the need for global trade, term limits, and transparency in a governmen with separation of powers.

Another invitation was a Human Rights Activist who talked about radio and TV with sanctions against the ruling class. In this part, there is disagreement on the part of the underwriter since there are blogs such as the ones existing in blog.co.uk, short wave radio stations like SW Africa FM.

After seeing "The Agenda" on Press TV, many conclusions have to be drawn.

Press TV and Ms. Yvonne Ridley have done their homework concerning Zimbabwe. Press TV has done a coverage of Zimbabwe at the same par as the BBC, RNW [Radio Netherlands], CBC/RCI [Canada], and CRI [China]. This type of special in depth coverage does not exist in the "Mainstream Media" of the USA except for PBS [Public Broadcasting Service]. Press TV deserves a 100% for their report.

The first game of Chivas USA against FC Dallas took place in Pizza Hut Park at Frisco Texas and before an audience of 17,540. The game itself was broadcast live by Telefutura TV.

FC Dallas started the game with possession of the ball and the game with the first goal by Toja with the assistance of Thompson and Rhine at 21 minutes. In spite of bookings and substitutions in both sides, FC Dallas continued to take advantage of the lack of discipline, tenacity, and fortitude of the Chivas USA. Chivas USA was the most affected by the bookings with Nagamura, Galindo, and Thomas being on the receiving ends but continued to hold their own until Maykel Galindo surprised the audience at Frisco, Texas with an equalizer at 84 minutes. It was within the last six minutes that Chivas USA was able to hold off FC Dallas in an attempt to maintain a draw.

While both teams are just starting the MLS Season, it is important that Chivas USA continue to practice and reinforce the discipline, tenacity, and fortitude that has helped it in the past. Chivas USA has the possibility of winning the MLS Cup but it cannot lose or draw any games. Maykel Galindo has helped Chivas USA but the team should not always depend on an immediate rescue from him. Chivas USA has to work as a team and that means other team players must play the role of protagonist in future games. The first game of the MLS between Chivas USA and FC Dallas should be a wake up call for Chivas USA.

Regardless, Maykel Galindo deserves to be named player of the game for his relentless and forceful plays that kept Chivas USA from being defeated. Again, this is not surprising since Maykel Galindo was once a star in the Cuban Football [Soccer] Team and has brought miraculous wonders to the game in the United States since his arrival in the United States of America and Chivas USA. My best wishes for Maykel Galindo and Chivas USA in their attempts to win the MLS Cup.

TENSION IN ZIMBABWE

According to Extraofficial Information and the MDC [Movement for Democratic Change], it appears that Zimbabwean “President” Robert Mugabe has lost the Presidential Elections with 67% of the votes in favour of MDC. According to MDC, Mugabe and his followers have stopped the vote counting. Robert Mugabe has governed Zimbabwe since 1980 with an iron hand by confiscating land that belonged to white settlers, creating a food and petrol crisis that has lead to an almost 1,000,000% inflation

TIGRES 2-0 PUMAS

Tigres played UNAM Pumas in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico and the game was transmitted live from Telefutura [A US Latin TV Station]. The action and the tension was palpable since Tigres needed a victory in order to avoid relegation in Group Three of the Mexican League and Pumas needed a victory to advance in Group One of the Mexican League.

The First Half began uneventfully with both teams attempting to obtain possession
Of the ball and the game. There was impatience within the stadium and within those who were watching the games on their television sets. Pumas had two opportunities to score a goal without success. The first attempt, the kicker for Pumas did not measure the distance between where to kick and where to land the ball. The result was that the ball was kicked and flew over the net. The second attempt by Pumas resulted in the ball landing on the frame and then deflecting towards the outside of the ball. The first half ended uneventful without goals and glory.

The Second Half was beginning in the same vein with the Tigres gradually gaining confidence and attempting to goal a few times. The only result was that the Pumas were able to block the attempts to goal until about seventy minutes within the game. At Seventy Minutes, Gaston Fernandez alias La Gata scored the first goal for the game and Tigres. The Tigres drew blood and started devouring the Pumas in the game. The Tigres strengthened their defence while the Pumas were receiving surprise. At Seventy Nine Minutes, Blas Perez scored the second goal for Tigres with the rest of the game being an attempt by Pumas to recover lost ground without success. It was all over as the Tigres had the Pumas for supper and dessert.

The Tigres were able to save themselves from relegation by obtaining fifteen points in the Group Three Classification of the Mexican League [Liga Mexicana in Mexico] while the Pumas stayed dormant in the Group One Classification of the same league. If the Tigres want to remain in the classification, they cannot rest on their laurels for one minute especially in a tight race that has become the Mexican League. Pumas will have to tighten their belt as well. It remains to be seen as the Mexican League draws to a close at the end of spring.

Los Tigres y Pumas pasaron la mayoria del juego compitiendo por el dominio del juego con intentos de goles, la intensidad del juego, la tenacidad y la diciplina de ambos. A pesar de los esfuerzos de ambos equipos, no hubo dominio, ni goles, ni movimiento con significado. Incluso, Puma perdieron dos opportunidades en la primera mitad para golear. La herida de Puma era evidente cuando los Tigres cenaron con Pumas con los Pumas siendo la cena. La herida mortal fue el Segundo gol de Blas Perez a los 79 minutos. I was trying to take time off from writing secondary to being bedridden for extreme allergic reactions when I read about the postponing of the Chelsea VS Everton for the 17th of April 2008 at the Chelsea and BBC Sports Webpage. My response was one of anger and the fact that my head and left side of my body is burning with pain. This is the football equivalent of a punch in the groins and face from the Premier League and from the media.

While The Premier League and certain members of the media can defend their decision with pitiful excuses, they have told Chelsea and Everton that their opinions count for nothing. Chelsea and Everton were looking forward to the fixture on the 29th of March 2008 only to have their dreams of a game ruined by an arbitrary decision of the Premier League.

The worst part is that Chelsea will now play two games within seventy two hours as Chelsea will play Wigan on the 14th of April 2008. What about the health of the Chelsea Players for both games within seventy two hours?

I have some questions for the Premier League; Did you ever take into account that there were people who made plans ahead of times. There were fathers ready to take their sons or daughters to their first football match. What about those who paid for the tickets for the 29th of March 2008 fixture? What about those who take time off from their work in the private or public sector to see Chelsea play Everton on the 29th of March 2008? Does the Premier League have any answers to these questions? Does the Media take into account these people who watch the television and wanted to go to a live match?

What the Premier League has done [as well as certain members of the media] was an act of injustice. It appears that the Premier League and certain members of the Media are concerned about publicity and a perfect televised game than the welfare of the teams such as Chelsea and Everton [which also includes the team members and the club supporters]. The Premier League cannot correct their error but maybe they should take the big step and explain to the supporters of the Chelsea and Everton Football Clubs and the teams their reasons. If it were for me, I would have done my own version of the Tiswas show [1970’s] and given the people who participated in this decision a pie in the face and water.

Everton is right in that this could set a precedent for future changes. Maybe the Premier League will prepare a fixture report for the 2008-2009 season and then make changes behind the backs of the football clubs and their supporters. What the Premier League has done is morally wrong and they should atone for their decision to ruin the lives of the Chelsea and Everton Clubs as well as their supporters. The decision by the Premier League to change the fixture between Chelsea and Everton has been condemned in other parts of the world including Miami Florida. Maybe our opinions do not count but football supporters of the world deserve to make their voices heard about this controversial decision. The same applies for those who are inside England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. May God Bless, Protect, and Help Chelsea, Everton, and the rest of the teams that play in the Premier League.

Phillies: End Racist Immigration Quotas
Worcester Mass, March 26: Libertarian Presidential candidate George Phillies today called for an end to national quotas on immigration. "We should not have one rule for people born in China and another rule for people born in Lichtenstein," Phillies said. " 'National quotas' are thinly disguised race quotas, with rules depending on the color of an immigrant's skin. All immigrants truly belong to one race: the human race. That's the Libertarian message."
"A century ago," Phillies noted, "Many Americans were afraid of immigration. They were afraid that our customs and way of life would be buried in a torrent of faces that neither spoke our language nor understood what makes Americans American. Thanks to radio, television, and the internet, new immigrants learn our language and laws far faster than even thirty years ago."
Phillies emphasized that immigration is a great strength of our Republic. "Foreign immigrants enrich our culture, our cuisine, our sports, our science and engineering, and every other positive aspect of American life. By welcoming foreigners to come and live in America, as we now do, we make ourselves richer and better people. It was in great part foreign immigrants that made America a powerhouse of high-technology life. Other countries may produce far more engineers than we do, but when we welcome the best of the best we ensure that their talents will benefit our people.

They proposed a complete replacement of the current platform. As it stands, We have two proposals, namely the Platform committee proposal and the Restore '04 proposal, both of which would strike the 2006 platform. We have almost no amendments available to the current platform.
In my opinion, between those two alternatives, the choice is clear. We need go no farther than:
"Recognizing that abortion is a very sensitive issue and that people,
including libertarians, can hold good-faith views on both sides, we
believe the government should be kept out of the question. We condemn
state-funded and state-mandated abortions. It is particularly harsh to
force someone who believes that abortion is murder to pay for another's
abortion."
And
"We recognize that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can
hold good-faith views on both sides. Taxpayers should not be forced to
pay for other people's abortions, nor should any government or
individual force a woman to have an abortion."
The defining difference is the clause "we believe the government should be kept out of the question". Between these two outcomes I support the side including that clause. I am happy to make it crystal clear that I stand for a woman's right to choose.
I have therefore endorsed the Restore '04 position over the Platform Committee position.
Having said that, if anyone is actually interested in a new Defense plank, I call your attention to the lead column on The Daily Liberty http://www.thedailyliberty.com/ entitled "Defense Policy" , which while doubtless subject to improvement would I believe would be a great improvement over any of the current defense plank proposals.

Former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel joins Libertarian Party ranks

Believes Democrats are out of touch with American citizens

Washington, D.C. - Mike Gravel, a former Alaskan Senator and Democratic candidate for president, has joined the Libertarian Party.

"I'm joining the Libertarian Party because it is a party that combines a commitment to freedom and peace that can't be found in the two major parties that control the government and politics of America," says Gravel. "My libertarian views, as well as my strong stance against war, the military industrial complex and American imperialism, seem not to be tolerated by Democratic Party elites who are out of touch with the average American; elites that reject the empowerment of American citizens I offered to the Democratic Party at the beginning of this presidential campaign with the National Initiative for Democracy."

Gravel served in the United States Senate from 1969 to 1981. Most recently, Gravel was a Democratic presidential candidate, though forced out of national debates by Democratic Party leadership and the media. Gravel officially became a member of the Libertarian Party today.

Gravel is the most recent former member of Congress to switch to the Libertarian Party. In 2006, former Republican Congressman Bob Barr joined the Libertarian Party.

The election of 2008 has seen Clinton and Obama fighting it out for the Democratic Nomination. Carville accuses Richardson of being a Judas. We also have Mc Cain, Obama, and Clinton trying to get out attention. Are you tired of people who pretend to be Americans in America’s Best Interests but are actually feuding like little children? Are you tired of the fact that this feud is taking away publicity from what ails our country?

I have a suggestion, vote Libertarian. For those who say that a vote for another party is a wasted vote, I am voting for my conscience and for America. I am also convinced that even though Mc Cain, Obama, or Clinton will win the US Elections in 2008, a vote for any of the three is a wasted vote for the same people who talk the talk but do not walk the talk. A Vote for the three is a vote for a gradual erosion of the United States of America.

I am convinced that a vote for the Libertarian in all spheres will not be a magical cure all but it is a beginning in the attempt to regain our country. The Libertarian Party os the party that believes in principles instead of the usual politics. The Libertarian Party stands for the following:

1. Immigration Control by the people instead of a Border Patrol [or at least helping a Border Patrol]. After all, the Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and The Bill of Rights states that the people have the right to bear arms.

2. Privatization [Gradually] of all of the spheres of government and the abolition of duplicate programmes.

3. Abolition of the Federal Reserve in favour of the Gold and Silver Standards.

4. Withdrawal from all International Commitments and concentration on our domestic defense. This means US out of UN, IMF, and the WB [World Bank not Warner Brothers].

5. Making Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid voluntary.
This is just the beginning but the time has come to find alternatives to a decaying political structure especially when Obama and Clinton [as well as Mc Cain] are not presenting new concepts.

6. Separation of the State from the Church, Education, and from all forms of excessive bureaucracy. Example of how this ocurred has been in Lee County, Florida where money has been saved and some have been returned to the taxpayer after the failure of a water project.

The Libertarian Party is the party for America because it is by Americans and for Americans compared to the Republicans and Democrats who are more interested in personal power and bowing down to special interest groups such as Insurance Companies who are ingrained in the Government.

Phillies Calls for End to H1-B Visa Quotas

EL NOTICIERO ALVAREZ GALLOSO APOYA LA CANDIDATURA DE ALONDRA PARA EL PREMIO INTERNACIONAL DE MUSICA ELECTRONICA Y QUEREMOS LO MEJOR PARA ELLA.

1. Como surgio el concepto de su nuevo disco “Sin Genero”?

Ver la diversidad de cultura que tenemos en USA me surgio la idea de hacer mi segunda produccion “Sin genero” donde inclui temas ineditos,muchos como cantautora con ritmo norteno,hip-hop,caribeno,trance pop,banda,salsa,hip-hop con bellydancing,banda, en dos idiomas en espanol e ingles.Voy a muchos estados promocionando mi musica y me gusta llevar alegria en mi musica,donde invite a bailar, y las personas olviden todos los problemas economicos,de inmigracion y amorosos..y queden con deseos de escuchar mas de mi y disfrutar mi ritmo.

2. Es posible que las dos canciones que se trata de la Navidad y Cuba podian convertirse en una institucion para el Siglo XXI? Considero las dos canciones con su tema sobre Cuba y la Navidad como universal.

El tema de Cuba es un dolor que todos conocen, un dolor de casi 50 anos, y aunque naci en este pais USA mi sangre es cubana por parte de mama y papa, me siento muy identificada con el dolor cubano, y uno de mis grandes suenos es ir a cantarle a una CUBA LIBRE, soy la voz mas joven de la Fundacion cubana americana y crei la necesidad de cantar un tema donde a traves de la musica se refleje una vez mas la esperanza de ver un dia a Cuba sibn la represion y ya liberada, por esa razon se la dedique a los 16 anos mios a Las Damas de Blanco en Cuba, un grupo de mujeres que son esposas, madres, hermanas que visten de blanco y caminan por las calles de Cuba pidiendo libertad por sus familaires que lo unico que han echo de delito es PENSAR U OPINAR DIFERENTE AL SISTEMA, por eso los tienen encarcelados, por ese valor inmenso de estas mujeres fue que le dedique esta cancion a las Damas de Blanco en Cuba, las admiro por su valentia y firmeza.Respecto a Navidad creo que es la epoca mas hermosa del ano, todo se viste de ternura,de esperanza, de amor con la presencia del nacimiento del nino Jesus, y es una invitacion a todos a celebrar, unirnos,universalmente por el amor y la paz.

3. Cuanto tiempo tomo en grabar “Sin Genero”?

El cd “sin Genero” tomo un ano en grabarlo, y eso que trabajo obsesivamente cuando estoy en la produccion d eun nuevo cd, pero mi productor Jorge Arronte y yo, somos muy exquisitos, si algo no nos gusta durante la grabacion de nuevo comenzamos hasta que creamos que ya esta como deberia estar, trabajamos en una constante creatividad y maravillosa comunicacion profesional creo que esa es la clave de todo a nivel de exito, estar unidos y con un solo deseo llevar a otros lo que tenemos en nuestos corazones.Inicialmente lo iba a grabar con 12 temas, pero debido amis presentaciones en conciertos, el trabajo ne la tv, etc.. no lo terminaba y ya mis admitradores estaban ansiosos de uqe saliera al mercado, asi que determine dejarlo en once temas,al final, no se loq ue me pasa ultimamente que siempre me sale el numero once en todo, asi que creo deberia seguirle el juego a la suerte, creo que si, me trajo suerte!!

4. Como surgio el concepto de ayudar a la familia de Zunnette Rodriguez?

La idea de ayudar a Zunnette Rodriguez surgio cuando estaba cambiando unos canales de tv y descubro una carita angelical en la pantalla ajena a lo que su mama pedia con lagrimas en los ojos, me quede viendo y ahi supe del caso,Zunnette Rodriguez es una nina de 13 anos, al nacer el oxigeno no le llego bien al cerrebro y hoy en dia tiene el desarrollo mental de una nina de solo un ano,su madre y padre supieron de unas terapias de oxigeno donde puede mejorar la nina muchisimo, pero cada terapia vale mas de 265 dolares cada una y eran mas de 65 terapias, ellos no tenian el dinero para hacerlo y estaban alli exponiendo el caso al mundo pidiendo ayuda,Dios mio, senti la obligacion de ayudarla,me vire a mi mama(que es mi manager desde lso 2 anitos)y le dije:Tengo que hacer un concierto para ella, ayudame! mi mama enseguida empezo a llamar a muchos teatros, unos les pedian miles entre seguros,etc, otros jamas ni tenian tempo de escuchar nuestra necesidad, y de repente gracias a el Teatro Roxy, ellos nos abrieron als puertas, y sin ningun interes monetario nos prestaron una de sus salas, mi madre contacto 17 artistas y dimos un show de 3 horas maravilloso show donde la misma mama y papa de Zunnette recibieron directamente las donaciones en la entrada del teatro Roxy, pusimos las entradas a 10 dolares, pero muchos pagaron cincuenta la entrada, otros trajeron donaciones de lso fans de Maria Lourdes que lo donaron en la emisora 102.1FM que nos ayudo con la promocion del evento, otros hicieron donaciones a la cuenta de ellos, en fin, entre una noche de mucho espectaculo con cantantes, magia,bellydancing,sonidos de tumbadoras,les baile un numero de Lyrico ademas de interpretar mis mas recientes temas, hubo ritmo de todo tipo de genero, comediantes, en fin, con todo este derroche de amor pudimos recaudar el dinero para las terapias de la ninita Zunnette, fue tan lindo todo, que ahora quiero hacer mi propia fundacion benefica para poder ayudar a muchos mas ninos en el mundo que tanto necesitan de nuestra ayuda, si Dios nos regalo el talento, debemos todos los artistas unirnos y darle nuestro tiempo,talento y amor para hacer realidad el sueno de muchos que nos necesitan, creo es lo mas bello que podemos hacer, da una alegria en el alma muy grande, cada ano, desde nina coopero con la asociaqcion del cancer, con la fundacion para los ninos con diabetis, cancer en los rinones, par auna obrra benefica,jamas estoy ocupada, ahi estoy!esta vida es muy esfimera, que lindo saber que estamos aprovechando bien el tiempo, humanamente, y lo mas lindo ese grupo de artistas se ha unido a mi causa y puedo contar con ellos.Cuando veo mi hermnita tan sana y hermosa, creo que es una bandicion mas en mi vida y desearia que todos los hermanos del mundo se sintieran como yo a cada vez que la abrazo.

5. Para aquellos que sufren de enfermedades desconocidas y/o incurable [no me gusta utilizar la palabra rara] cual seria su consejo para que ellos pueden enfrentar a su enfermedad? Planteo la pregunta porque en una epoca me ingresaron en el hospital por una enfermedad desconooida que es la Angioedema [hace cinco a~nos atras]. Incluso tenia miedo inmediatamente despues de estar hospitalizado. Hoy en dia y Gracias a Dios, tengo la angioedema bajo control y disfruto de la vida.

Para todos los que sufren una enfermedad mi consejo es: sean positivos,tengan Fe en Dios y en ellos mismos,siempre hay esperanza y la mejor medicina es creer en ustedes, existen milagros diariamente lo que no lo ven, siempre hay una mano amiga para ayudarnos, siempre nos rodean angeles, yo nunca olvidare que cuando solo tenia 14 anos y no tenia el dinero apra grabar un tema en espanol para un evento muy grande que me avisaron de repente, una persona me dijo, no te preocupes, ven a mi estudio y la grabaremos, estuve con mi mama toda la madrugada grabando sin dormir, pero la hice, esos son angeles que Dios manda, tengo mucha fe y le digo a todos, siempre hay personas en este mundo que aparecen de repente como angeles en nuestras vidas, en mi carrera he contado con muchas personas lindas desinteresadas que me han brindado su ayuda como verdaderos angeles, creo que por eso hoy en dia gozo del exito.Hya tratamientos, y personas de buen corazon en esta tierra, a todos los que padecen de una enfermedad les digo, jamas pierdan las esperanzas, sonrian y den amor, eso los ayudar a mucho.

6. Has participado en otros actos beneficos para personas con enfermedades incurables o para costear el tratamiento?

Si, siempre he ayudado a las obras beneficas, desde muy nina, y ahora mi hermanita Margaret(7 anos) sigue mis pasos, ella baila bellydancing y como yo sabe que si tenemos talento es para compartirlo con otros y asi ayudar a todas las obras beneficas que sean posibles, creo es una gratitud al talento que Dios nos ha dado.

7. Cuales el consejo que daria a la juventud de hoy encuanto a la vida?
8. He tenido el honor en poder ver una de sus peliculas y escuchar el disco “Sin Genero”, habra otra pelicula, otro disco, un concierto, quizas una obra de teatro en un futuro?
9. Si el publico quiere conseguir “Sin Genero” donde esta disponible?

7-9 Mi consejo a la juventud es que se diviertan sanamente, ir al parque con la familia, o almorzar al lado del mar, ir al cine con amigos, libres de drogas, de perversiones, de vicios asi sean de alchool o de fumar, la juventud es para prepararse para el futuro, estudiar una carrera, y sobre todo amar a sus padres que se lo han dado todo, respetar y amar a su familia,si algun joven viene de un hogar no estable como mi caso que son un matrimonio de anos y en mi casa solo se respira amor, por favor, esos jovenes no se pierdan en drogas, eso no conduce a nada, les pido se acerquen a Dios.

A la juventud les digo, tengan cuidado con ‘falsos amigos” que desean verlos hundidos como ellos, las amistades hay que elegirlas con mucho cuidado, y por favor, amen a sus viejitos…un dia se nos van.

Si, fui protagonista de “crossing the 09w17″ cine independiente,estrenada en Europa,me encanta la actuacion tambien, y desde muy pequena estudie actuacion, la comedia sobre todo me fascina, porque soy muy alegre y temngo mucho sentido del humor,he estado en muchos seriales de comedias actuando y las disfruto, la pelicula era todo lo contrario, y me meti tanto en el papel que me desmaye durante las grabaciones, creo que por poco me muero de verdad, tenia 15 anitos.Si, estoy dando muchos conciertos pero por lo general me promociono en otros estados como Chicago,Atlanta,N.Carolina,S.Carolina,ahora este 29 y 30 estare en Pennsylvania cantando en dos ciudades,el dia 5 de Abril estare en un crucero para las Bahamas cantando en el cucero, la otra semana estuve en los carnaval
