Human Rights

I read that Condoleezza Rice was attempting to lecture China about Human Rights. My message is for the Republicans and Democrats, you have no moral right to lecture about human rights anywhere when you did not practice it in the US elections [rules and regulations which discriminate against Libertarians and Greens]. For those who talk about a boycott of the Beijing Olympics 2008, a boycott would be counterproductive.

Economic Slump

I can only speak for America. The Republicans, Democrats, the Federal Reserve and Insurance Companies have created havoc by destroying the once thriving US Economy.

Jesus

Jesus Es Amor y Paz

Don't Mess With Football

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-03-20 - 16:04:25

The Chief Executive of Zimbabwe’s Football League Henrietta Rushwaya announced the cancellation of all football [soccer] games during the election time in that country. She announced that football [soccer] can resume on the 4th of April 2008. The exception to the rule was that the game between Zimbabwe and a local team in Mozambique could continue as planned on the 20th of March 2008.When I read that announcement, my heart and soul exploded in anger. While I am aware that Zimbabwe is experiencing an election and tense moments in its history, there was no reason to cancel football [soccer] games.

The idea of boycotts and cancellations are due to the politicians, bureaucrat, or representatives wanting to punish one another in an infantile fashion. The only people penalized are the players and the fans. I am also opposed to the boycott of the 2008 Beijing Olympics since it would harm footballers and those who support football. It was for the same reason to oppose Gordon Brown’s Boycott of the Zimbabwe Cricket Players in Great Britain. The World has experienced boycotts of sports events such as Moscow 1980 and Los Angeles 1984 and people have found a way to participate in sports [including football/soccer] as well as purchase paraphernalia from the sport events.

What is needed is more sports and recreation instead of politicians, bureaucrats, or representatives of sports organizations who enjoy making our lives miserable. We need more sports and recreation with no arbitrary boycotts, or cancellations. What has resolved most of the problems in the world and alleviated tensions has been the existence of sports in all of its spheres including football [soccer]. While many may disagree; football or soccer games have been a way to unify families, reconcile old friends, and create new memories. I challenge the people of the world to say: “Long Live Football [or Soccer]” as well as “Don’t Mess With Football”.

"Marea Alta" Un Libro Que Es Leyenda entre Leyendas

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-03-20 - 16:03:45

FROM THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY:
Five years of the forever war…

Five years after the beginning of the U.S. war with Iraq, the Libertarian Party renews its call to bring the troops home

Washington, D.C. - On the five-year anniversary of the beginning of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, the Libertarian Party offers the following statement by Executive Director Shane Cory:

It is with a heavy heart that I woke up on March 19, 2008, in a country still at war in Iraq, now five years after it first began. It is also with great disappointment that neither Republicans nor Democrats have provided a plan to end what is shaping up to be a "forever war." On this five-year anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, the Libertarian Party renews our call to bring American troops home without undue delay. May the courage and sacrifice of the 3,990 soldiers who have died in Iraq while serving their country never be forgotten.

The Libertarian Party is America's third largest political party, founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. You can find more information on the Libertarian Party by visiting www.lp.org. The Libertarian Party proudly stands for smaller government, lower taxes and more freedom.

Phillies commits another $100,000 to his campaign

George Phillies for President 2008

Phillies commits another $100,000 to his campaign

The cat is out of the bag! Everyone who attended the PA/NJ Presidential debate got to be first to hear the announcement.

George Phillies has committed another $100,000 to his Presidential campaign. "If I win the nomination," he said, "I will invest a second hundred thousand dollars of my own money in my campaign."

Phillies was asked why Libertarians should believe that promise. After all, Libertarians have heard that line before. "The difference is that this is the second time I've made that commitment," Phillies answered. "And I kept the first one. I promised I would invest $100,000 in my nominating campaign. Check my FEC reports. I'm already at $80,000 toward that total."

P.S. To watch the debate, go to http://www.phillies2008.org and click on the USTREAM video. By the way, several Pennsylvanians conducted an informal straw poll after the debate. The numbers George was shown had George tied with Bob Jackson and 'undecided' in first place, and Christine Smith next.
