Parreira Resigns as Coach of South African National Football Team

by AlvarezGalloso @ 2008-04-21 - 19:42:48

Carlos Alberto Parreira has just announced that he is resigning as coach of the South African National Team after a year and four months. Mr. Parreira was chosen to lead the South African National Team in preparations for the 2010 World Cup but is leaving so that he could take care of his wife who is ill after undergoing major surgery. Mr. Parreira deserves praise for wanting to be with his family at a critical time for them. Mr. Parreira will leave South Africa for Brazil on the 2nd of May 2008. At the same time, Mr. Parreira has done all that could be possible for the South African Football [Soccer] Team in preparing them for the 2010 World Cup and will be missed. My ideal candidate would be Jose Mourinho.
